"And
they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and
fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Acts
2:42
Groups are our way of intentionally
approaching community and discipleship within the church body.
2:42
is designed with the intent of providing smaller group
environments where believers can gather to remain steadfast in
the study of God's Word, fellowship, communion and prayer.
Discussion centers around questions related to the previous
Sunday sermon so the discussion has focus and direction. Many
people look for ways to get connected in a large church body,
2:42
is our way of offering a way to make that transition
easier.
2:42
is not a substitute for either Sunday
Services or Mid-week Bible Study, but is a supplemental ministry
to focus on what is being taught from the pulpit and will help
connect to the heart of the pastor and what God is doing within
our church body.
If you join a
2:42 group, you can expect:
1.
A casual home meeting where you have the opportunity to grow in
meaningful relationships with other believers.
2.
An opportunity to discuss and apply the principles and issues
from the weekend's message at Calvary Chapel.
3. A chance to meet the practical needs of the body and the
community at large.
These sermon-based bible study groups ask for a ten week
commitment, and are comprised of 8-14 people. They meet weekly
to share, study God’s Word and to support one another
spiritually. The groups meet from January to May and September
to December and will take a break during the summer months.
